Parent Education Program (PEP)
At MSR, we believe in lifelong learning. That's why we offer a parent education program designed to provide our parents with the information and resources they need to support their child's growth and learning.
The MSR Parent Education Program - commonly known as PEP, has two components: the Whole Child series offering programming relevant for parents with children of any age and the Montessori Parent series, offering grade-level content and information.
MSR’s Parent Education Program offers multiple PEP Weeks each year.
Past Speakers
Tim Seldin is one of the most famous Montessori authors and speakers in the United States and we were so incredibly lucky to have him on our Lead Mine Campus in September 2024. He discussed the value of Montessori education and how this time-honored method supports the growth and development of our children.
The Montessori School of Raleigh (MSR) welcomed Simone Davies, renowned author of The Montessori Baby: A Parent’s Guide to Nurturing Your Baby with Love, Respect, and Understanding and The Montessori Toddler: A Parent’s Guide to Raising a Curious and Responsible Human Being.
The Montessori School of Raleigh welcomed Celebrate Calm founder Kirk Martin and his son Casey Martin for a “dynamic, laugh-out-loud” parenting event offering strategies to stop the yelling, lecturing, and power struggles with children of all ages!
PEP Whole Child education series presented a virtual presentation by Katherine McLean, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist/health services provider and an assistant professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine/Endocrine at Wake Forest School of Medicine.
