Montessori Beginnings
Infant-Parent Education Series
Join Montessori Educator and Lead Guide Timea Kallai and the Toddler Lead Guides for Montessori Beginnings, an infant-parent education series designed to guide parents through Montessori techniques and lessons over a six-month progression of growth. Parents with children newborn to age 2 are eligible.
Throughout the course, the following topics will be covered:
- Montessori philosophy
- Preparing the home environment 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years
- Freedom and discipline through observation
- Movement development
- Language development
- Nutrition and weaning
- Absorbent mind, adaptation, and sensitive periods
At the end of every class, parents will be provided with additional Montessori articles to support their parenting journey at home.
When: October 26, November 23, February 8, March 8, April 12, May 17
Time: 9 - 10 a.m.
Where: Infant classroom, Lead Mine Campus Building A
Classes: 6 total (2 in fall, 4 in spring)
Who: Parents and their infant child
Cost: free for current MSR families; $250 for greater community
