Title: The Tale of Robyn Hood: Princess of the Poor & the Merry Folks of Sherwood
The LMC Players Studios Plus program engages MSR's Elementary students (grades 2-6) in an immersive after-school theater experience that introduces them to acting technique, taking direction, staging, technical theater, costuming, design, and more. The experience culminates in a full production performed before a live audience on the stage of MSR's Watson Center.
LMC Players invites you on a medieval comedic adventure with the 2027 production of The Tale of Robyn Hood: Princess of the Poor & the Merry Folks of Sherwood! This comedic take on the traditional Robin Hood ballads and tales follows Robyn Hood, arriving home from the Crusades to find Nottingham turned upside down by the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham. With the help of Lady Marian and the Merry Folks of Sherwood, Robyn will lift up the poor and shun the rich in hopes to create a better England for all!
This year's Studio+ brings new adventures and new challenges to the LMC Players stage! Students will learn the history of this fabled hero and be trained in introductory stage combat including: jousting, swordplay choreography, longstaff choreography, and archery! Students will also get in-depth Cockney-style English dialect training throughout this 7-month Studio! Join us this year for the LMC Players 2027 production of The Tale of Robyn Hood: Princess of the Poor & the Merry Folks of Sherwood! It's sure to be a jolly-good romp!
