Studios, MSR's after-school enrichment program, features a variety of themed activities and workshops engaging MSR students in sports, STEM, French language, theater, dance, pottery and more! Sessions are available for Children’s House through Upper Elementary (Grade 6) and offered three times a year; fall, winter, and spring.

Studio sessions are available to Children's House through Upper Elementary students. Studios are offered once a week for a period of five or six weeks and are either 45 minutes or one hour in length. Spring Studios registration will open through the Parent Portal on March 26.

Welcome to Spring Studios! During our time in Art Studio, we will create art using a variety of techniques and materials such as paint, sketching, and collage materials. The students will get the opportunity to explore and grow their art skills while having fun creating different art projects.
Beginner Piano Studio with Ms. Belle

In this Beginner Piano Studio inspired by the Montessori approach, children will embark on a journey into the magical world of piano. Through this immersive experience, children will learn the basics about the piano and reading music. Join us as we waltz together, step-by-step, starting from the humble beginnings of their very first note and unlocking the wonders of music.

Students will dive into fun games and basic soccer skills. Each session emphasizes a character word such as respect, confidence, and determination. These sessions are designed to make a positive impact on the growth and development of the students. To ensure this can take place rain or shine, this program is scheduled to take place inside.

In Space Studio, space explorers will discover the remarkable scientific findings humans have uncovered thus far. Through engaging hands-on activities, including crafts and experiments, they'll curiously explore the exciting mysteries of the universe.

We focus on getting kids moving and making exercise fun! Runners will be introduced to simple strength exercises, fundamental running techniques, and play games that provide a kid-friendly cardio workout! These young runners will be challenged based on their ability; this program is appropriate for the beginning runner or a young athlete who has finished lots of races! The six weeks of training teach the qualities of “what it takes” to be a good runner and athlete: goals and determination, endurance, strength, speed, flexibility, and good nutrition.
Violin with Ms. Jessica

Students will enjoy extra practice and fun with friends during violin Studio. The curriculum will be a continuation of what students are working on during their school-day violin class. We will also take a closer look at music theory concepts using the Music Mind Games curriculum. Parents are invited to join part of our final class for an informal performance and demonstration of our skills.

To cancel or make changes to a Studio registration, a written request must be made to auxiliaryprograms@msr.org.

- 13 days or less prior to the program's start date: No refund, plus an administrative fee of $25
