Scholarships
The Montessori School of Raleigh awards merit-based scholarships to exceptional students who meet the criteria described below. Applicants are required to complete the standard application process and prepare a personal essay.

Upper School Merit Scholarships
The Brier Creek Merit Scholarship for Rising 9th Grade Students
This scholarship recognizes an incoming 9th grade student who exhibits qualities of good character, potential for strong academic achievement, and a passion for some area of study in the sciences, humanities, the arts, or technology. This scholarship funds $3,000 for the 9th grade, $4,000 for the 10th grade, and $5,000 a year for the 11th and 12th grade years.
Students can apply for the scholarship during the application process. Recipients are selected by committee and will be announced with admission decisions. This merit scholarship is in addition to any aid given in response to demonstrated need.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Merit Scholarship for Rising 11th Grade Students
The International Baccalaureate Scholarship recognizes an incoming 11th grade full IB Diploma Programme student who has a proven record of academic excellence, demonstrated involvement in student leadership, and exemplary character. This scholarship will fund $5,000 a year for the two years of the IB Diploma Programme.
Students can apply for the scholarship during the application process. Recipients are selected by committee and will be announced with admission decisions. This merit scholarship is in addition to any aid given in response to demonstrated need.
