We offer Open Houses and Group Tours and are happy to schedule private tours for you and your family.

These are all excellent opportunities for parents to learn about our school culture and to experience classroom life at MSR.

After completing an inquiry form and speaking with our Admissions Team, the next step is to complete your application.

Applications are considered complete when the Enrollment Office has received your application and fee along with all supporting documentation. Applications received by January 13 will receive first consideration.

Students applying for admissions to Grades 3 - 6 must take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam), a standardized admissions assessment.  Please visit the ISEE website for more information and to schedule your child's test.  

An interview and assessment gives us an opportunity to get to know you and your children one-on-one and may be done in person or virtually.

During your interview and assessment, you will connect with our Admissions Team, tour or re-tour our campus, and have the opportunity to ask questions specific to your child and their MSR experience.

• If you are applying to our Toddler or Children’s House programs, your child will have an individual meeting with an MSR faculty member.
   
• If you are applying to our Upper or Lower Elementary programs, we will invite your student to connect with current students for a half-day school visit. Parents will have an opportunity to meet with members from the Admissions Committee during this student visit.

Enrollment notifications for applications submitted and completed by the application deadline will be notified on the dates listed below:

February 14 - Toddler through Kindergarten

February 28 - Grades 1 through 6

Triangle Independent School Consortium and Deadlines

MSR is a member of the Triangle Independent School Consortium whose members recognize that the individual timetables for the admissions process are as unique as the schools themselves. We want to assure you that we are willing to accommodate the needs of families who have applied to more than one of the schools.

At all other times, admissions are done on a “rolling” basis with children considered and accepted as and when spaces become available.
