The Montessori School of Raleigh: one community, two beautiful campuses

Our campuses and classrooms are intentionally designed to meet the needs of students at their particular developmental stages. For our younger learners, our village-like Lead Mine Campus, situated on 10 acres in North Raleigh, provides welcoming, child-sized spaces—orderly, nurturing, sheltered, and safe—designed to broaden their worlds every day with a rich array of new experiences that intrigue and expand their curious minds.

Our Brier Creek Campus, situated on 40 acres in rural Durham County, helps our students take the next step toward independence. On these 40 acres, we surround them with care, support, and the freedom to be themselves, ask tough questions, express their interests, and find answers to life’s most critical questions: “Who am I?” and “Who do I want to become?”

Campus Health and Safety

The safety and wellbeing of every student, staff, and community member is paramount to us. The Lead Mine Campus has certified school nurses on campus daily for any needs that should arise. There is a full-time campus security officer staffed on the Lead Mine Campus, and each campus is equipped with recently upgraded security and monitoring systems. Every MSR employee completes a thorough background check, and receives child CPR and AED certification, as well as training on campus safety and emergency response. For questions regarding campus health and safety, contact the school's Chief Operations Officer.

The Brier Creek Campus also hosts MSR's Land and Livestock program, an outdoor classroom complete with chicken coops, a greenhouse, and plotted land for students to utilize.
