Strong parental participation has always been a trademark of this community, and whether you would like to help out with one of the events below or simply to volunteer in your child’s classroom, we offer unlimited opportunities for you to become more involved.
Please let me know if you might be interested in helping out with any of the events below by clicking the appropriate box(es). In addition, please let your teachers know if you are interested in helping out in the classroom or with class-specific functions. Lastly, we are always open to new ideas for new events or volunteer projects, so please don’t hesitate to give me a call.

Volunteers needed to assist the photographers with preparing the children for their individual portraits (may include but not be limited to lining kids up, straightening collars, flattening cowlicks and keeping them smiling).

The festival is a big outdoor party, the first event of the year where our entire community comes together for a few hours of fun. There will be games and prizes for the children, and food and fun for all.

Twice during the year MPSA provides for purchase all the plants you need for your home’s and classroom’s garden. Brought to you from a local nursery, the plants are available for MSR families and friends right on our campus during these two 2-day sales.

Our own MSR Book Store comes to life in the Watson Center. Many books and related gifts are for sale, and we invite authors to share their works with the classes. In addition, we invite artists and storytellers to entertain the children.

This festival is an opportunity for our students to showcase their fine arts and performing arts talents. Student art is displayed in the Art Gallery and student performances are held throughout the campus.

As the only MSR Annual Fund fundraiser, this community celebration features a Live Auction and casino-style games. Held each May this fun-filled evening includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, music and games. Planning begins in January and culminates with the event.

Hospitality Committee
Chair: Elisabeth McGowan If you like to bake or shop for goodies, then this is the committee for you. Provide baked goods for the various Open Houses and events during the year.
Publicity
Chair: Renee Revaz Ever wonder who creates the fence posters that keep you aware of upcoming activities - the Publicity Committee. If you have graphic design experience or just like to laminate, please volunteer for this.
Office Assistants
MSR Contact: Cathy Adams, Director of Information and Children’s Services Help in the office with various administrative tasks: sorting mail, stuffing envelopes, etc.
Annual Fund Advisory Committee
MSR Contact: Rae Marie Czuhai, Director of Development and Alumni Affairs The Annual Fund Advisory Committee works with the Director of Development to solicit donations for the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund helps provide for the on-going development/training of our Faculty, Interdisciplinary programs including art and music, and quality educational materials in each classroom.
Substituting
MSR Contact: Melanie Lind Opportunities for substitute teachers when faculty is out of school. Volunteers are paid as substitute teachers; training is provided by MSR.
