When you first begin researching the Montessori method, you’ll hear phrases such as planes of development, child-centered classrooms, and freedom in a framework. What this means is that lessons—the curriculum—is presented individually to children in ways they naturally learn about topics that interest them. As a result, children are excited about learning. They are focused, calm, and—seemingly without adult directives—behave in an orderly and respectful way. They absorb everything.

You are invited to see this for yourself. Come to The Montessori School of Raleigh and observe a class in progress. Talk with our Director of Admissions, teachers, and Head of School. Most importantly, talk with our students. You’ll see why we believe the Montessori method is our hope for a stronger, more peaceful tomorrow.

Our daughter has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few months, both academically and socially. The MSR environment allows her to enjoy and advance quickly through areas in which she excels, and she is also encouraged and supported in work with which she struggles. —Lower Elementary parent
