AcademicsLearning never stops at The Montessori School of Raleigh. From 18 months through 9th grade, concrete objects provide deep understanding of abstract principles. There is an integrated curriculum designed to parallel human development. Children are recognized as individuals and their education is not restricted to lectures addressed to the whole class. They are given the freedom to explore and excel, the responsibility to learn and teach, and the opportunity to collaborate and serve—ensuring their development into educated, virtuous young adults. Our student's progress in their Montessori journey is evaluated on many levels. Assessment and Testing in the Montessori Environment is viewed as just a part of the development of the whole child. |
What a gift Montessori is for our children and our family. Each day I am amazed by what my children are learning. In addition to developing solid “traditional” academic skills, they are learning valuable life skills which will serve them very well in the future. —Lower Elementary parent |
