If Wake County Schools are delayed or closed due to poor, dangerous, or threatening weather, we will be delayed for the same period of time or closed. If Wake County delays and then closes, we will close. To reassure families and Staff, we will continue to carry announcements on:

• Television: WRAL Channel 5
• AM Radio: WPTF: 680 AM
• FM Radio: WUNC: 91.5 FM

With numbers of students, parents, and Staff from outlying rural areas and towns such as Wake Forest and Cary, we must recognize potentially hazardous conditions beyond the immediate North Raleigh area for our children, their parents, and our Staff by erring on the side of caution even when weather and/or road conditions in the area immediately around school may not seem locally hazardous. Conditions can change quickly. Please bear with us as we make decisions that we feel are in the best interests of the safety of your children and our Staff.

Finally, there may be situations when we determine during the school day in progress that it is in the children's best interest for us to close early. Again we will:

• Follow the Wake County closing decisions
• Announce that decision on the above TV and radio stations as well as this web site
• Keep an up-to-date recording on our Weather Line (Dial 848-1545. When asked, touch 3).
